I wonder if I can become a vISP of sorts for the family?
« on: January 09, 2017, 11:12:48 AM »

Howdy!

I've always wanted to give this a shot but I'm a techie, not a business man, really.

I've got a bunch of family members that are always coming to me for the latest broadband deals, etc.
I wish I had more time to help them better. It strikes me I might be able to do exactly that by becoming a vISP and simply reselling them all amazing deals?

All 10~ of them, lol.

I realise it's probably waaaay more hassle than it's worth but does anyone have any thoughts on how I might go about this? I've done some ISP stuff over the years and I pretend to be a network expert in my dayjob so I'm hoping it just might be possible.

I might also alienate them all in the process so that's something else to be aware of I suppose!! :)

Cheers :)

Hi

My thoughts are for 10 users it would be uneconomical

However, if they are LOS, you could get a small pipe and install LOS, but again, ROI would be high

Many thanks

I think utility warehouse provides a way for you to become a vISP https://extranet.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/
