DofE Diamond Challenge
« on: October 02, 2016, 10:07:26 PM »

This week I am away helping my daughter finish her DofE Diamond Challenge - walking from Bath to Windsor along the Kennet and Avon canal and then the Thames footpath. We are doing it in stages and so far have reached Newbury leaving about 50 miles to go which we intend to complete by Friday.

Kathryn completed her Gold Award through a centre attached to Mencap in Andover.

Her page is at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kats2016challenge

Well done to Kathryn.  Fantastic achievement getting gold award and now going for diamond challenge.

Just seen that you're at stage 8 in Marlow.  Good luck on the final stretch and I hope the weather keeps fine for you

Thanks - we reached Maidenhead today so it's an easy walk from there to the end. We've been so lucky with the weather - early October it could have been very different!

Excellent walking weather for you tomorrow forecasted.  Good luck :)
