Many years ago, I wrote parts of the Wikipedia articles
1. PPPoE article : PPPoEoA, overheads and PPPoE-to-PPPoA
and
2. PPPoA article
But later on someone ‘vandalised’ my work, cutting large chunks out altogether so that the remainder doesn't entirely make sense, and screwed up the protocol diagram for PPPoEoA in the context of Internet Access so that parts of it are completely wrong. The protocol diagram for PPPoA in Internet access has been completely deleted.
Does anyone feel like having a go at putting Wikipedia straight? Correcting the errors and putting back the diagram for PPPoA in Internet access.
Would need to speak Wikipedia. Don't need to be an expert in protocols and topologies as we have plenty of help at hand right here amongst our kitizens, and I'm willing to help out as far as my highly limited knowledge goes.
But I'm too ill and frankly, too disheartened to try again singlehanded. And yet the world really does need a technical description of an example of how Internet access works at a protocol level.
