A little confusing part of their statement says:
"Easily convert your MOV files to AVI, WMV and MPEG. Free to try!  "

But also make sure you check-out any comments.

HOw about http://www.dvdflick.net/ ?

That would appear to be a DVD creation tool, not a ripper.

Something that will rip VOB files to AVI or WMV.

Today's offering is Aplus DVD ripper... which on early testing seems to work well... so well worth grabbing if you're looking for something like this. :)

Plato DVD converter today: http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/plato-3gp-package/

It's like buses, you wait ages for a DVD ripper, then several come at once.

APlus didn't work here - wouldn't register correctly which going by the comments seems to have something to do with Firefox being installed. Probably a lucky escape if someone bought that heavily into .net

That's not unusual for GAOTD stuff... btw, I'm now trying Super ©. :)

It wasn't the link back to GAOTD (when you install) which didn't work, it was that the username/serial number simply wouldn't "stick". I had to enter it every time the program started to get it to work and that is apparently "caused" by Firefox being installed. Sounds like nonsense to me but you can't complain about free s/w not working now can you? :)

Well if the problem does involve firefox (though I can't imagine how or why), then:

1) it's a pretty crappy design
2) you are going to pee off quite a sizeable chunk of the online population

Yes of course you can, or at least by leaving them a comment as to what was wrong.

I believe the motive behind giving away these software packages is to be able to receive customer feedback and experiences.

But did you try AutoGK yet ?

I did give AutoGK a look... found it a bit confusing.  Super © seems better.

Well a quick search yields enough results that were it my s/w then I'd know about it, and would have done for a while now :D
