How can I get DSLstats and HG612 modem stats to show in the [system] notification tray?

Without them being there, I have no idea if things are running as they should.
These are the options I have set [see Image 1 below] - ie nothing shows up at all for DSLstats

HG612 modem stats is annoying the hell out of me because everytime I try to look at something in the notification area, then this popup completely obscures everything else. [see Image 2 below]
Ive tried looking in HG612 stats GUI, but it wont let me set the pop-up to less than 10 seconds.

So far its seemed to work ok with other progs and its only these 2 progs that Ive had problems with.

D'oh answering my own question.    Found the settings I need hidden away from obvious view.

Settings - > System -> Notifications and actions

Underneath Quick actions -> Choose your quick actions
Look for the text link "Select which icons appear on the Taskbar" near top of the page.

This then pulls up a full menu.

The location has changed after the update to Windows 10 Anniversary.

Settings -> Personalization - > Taskbar -> Notification area.  "Select which icons appear on the taskbar".

Only three days left and then you will have to purchase a WIN10 licence key though you can buy them from PC Builders at well under half price than Microsoft's online offerings

I bet there's been quite a surge of upgrades in the last week or two, we've upgraded all the works PC's (7) and I've done another two more at home, and have another one to go. One was my brothers as he couldn't persuade it to upgrade, but the upgrade has just completed for me.

I've done four PCs here plus two laptops with no problems. That leaves the MDWS server but I'm not tempted to change that as it's happy as it is under 8.1...

It's only because you're running an insider preview and not a properly licenced version. It's been known about for a long time that insider versions expire.

I really wouldn't call it the dark side, it's a very stable operating system these days.

Had PC problems...  or rather 2 identical HDDs fail within a couple of weeks of each other.   Then I had issues with my graphics card and had to revert to the onboard graphics which meant no dual monitors.  I've already had an SSD fail. 

Therefore had to do a drastic rethink of what I was going to do.  The PC was 4 y/o and on 24/7.  Its taken me a few weeks to decide what to do, but Ive now got a new skylake system with Win 10 and cannibalised some parts from the old i7.   

Then using the old i7 as a base machine I plan to take some parts from an old P5 to replace some bits that are either broken or been taken for the new machine.   I'll probably have to buy a couple of things so its on hold for now..  but that will still have the old SSD with Win7 Pro on it.
