Let There Be Light!
« on: April 04, 2008, 04:38:11 PM »

How about this for street lighting backup. Wind turbine, solar cells and mains supply!

Alongside the Leeds - Liverpool Canal at Skipton

I wonder if the solar panel was placed just under the light, and the light came on at night would it charge its batteries up?
Sort of perpetual light!
I might try that and sell it to Gordie and his government.

Judging by the nonsense Gordie's merry woman came out with, about informing social networking sites of the email addys of sex offenders, I'm sure they'd snatch your hand off to buy millions of you perpetual light machines, Dave. ;)

No, I think it's the rudder to keep it pointed into wind. Just the camera angle that makes it look narrow.
Keep watching and when it turns you will see what I mean.
