Crazy but so far on the 1.00(AAKL.7)C0 firmware all looks good this morning:

Average error rates for 17 Jun 2016

CRC erors per hour:  0 Down,  0 Up
FEC erors per hour:  91654 Down,  0.78 Up
HEC erors per hour:  0 Down,  0 Up
ES per hour:  0 Down,  0 Up
SES per hour:  0 Down,  0 Up

There I go tempting fate again!  :-X

Speed has come up 1Mbps and interleaving now coming down again, currently at 2517.

I'll leave it as is and see if DLM does it's stuff to bring my speed back.

Have to say if the DLM line history has been good and then a issue has occurred over a few days the DLM can start to recover the line quickly with 2 to 3 DLM retrains per day and during this process don't even think of turning off the modem.

He is on eci. He had a resync this morning but in his favour as sync rate went up along with snrm rise on the ds. I would be tempted to leave it alone for now. He is on fast path same as a lot of us who lost g.inp on eci

I dont like the look of his tbb latency chart though. I wonder if this is what a congested link looks like??
Mine is the second (8324)

Hmm still looks pretty messy to me as I just looked. I would be turning it off to check thats what's causing it if it were me...

Well I've given up on the VMG8924 B10A today and gone back to my SBG3300-N as it has totally destroyed my connection.

I've tried just about every firmware available and unless the unit is faulty I'm not sure what is going on with it.

Anyone else had any issues such as constant disconnections, the GUI suddenly not being available, DSLStats failing to login to modem, constant ping spikes on my TBQM, interleaving increasing from 850 to over 2800, ping increasing from around 20ms to 40ms? The list goes on.

Shame as the unit itself seems pretty good with plenty of options, more than on my SBG3300-N and I like the GUI.  :(

Me thinks perhaps its faulty due to the other issues you have had. As I said I did have the time gap issues on the 8924 but no other issues with gui or latency issues etc.
Personally I think having 2 devices is a better option than all in one. Is it still under warranty? - my 8324 has been up for 38 days on v14 although I do run it in bridge mode.

Just wondering if it's worth using my SBG3300-N as the modem and just using the VMG8924 as the router for now? Is it easy enough to setup?

If that can and will work I may just run it like that until G.INP gets switched back on in my ECI cabinet.

I have OR coming again tomorrow as my line speeds have dropped below the FTTC A range, who knows I may actually have a line fault and it wasn't the VMG8924 after all!  :-\

I would see what or say first before making any further changes. I am on eci cab as well. Dont hold your breathe getting g.inp back - seems to be going on and on. Just over 2 months now since mine was disabled (was on an 8800nl but stopped using it due to high errors). Re eci cab on my line the best result has been with zyxel after trying several options. You could use the 8924 as a modem and use a router behind it but I dont think you can do it the other way. I would see what OR has to say  after the visit and maybe if they say no fault etc and your 8924 is in warranty then perhaps get it  changed. Personally I couldn't get on with it due to the missing minutes hence using the 8324 in bridge mode along with my ac87u
Keep us posted.

My experience of OR has not been good tbh, I seem to have all the lazy or useless staff in my area and have actually had them make my line far worse in the past.

None of the visits I've had over the years (and it's been a fair few) have convinced me they know what they are doing, I even had one who didn't have working test equipment and he swapped the pair I was on without testing it, again making my connection worse and he left without even letting my modem connect first to see the result! I was fuming that day.

I can only live in hope that there is at least employee of OR who is good at their job and conscientious with it!

Well after yesterdays OR visit my line rates are lower than ever and the VMG is still totally unstable with the GUI failing, can't login to DSLStats randomly and a very busy TBQM so I've put my SBG3300-N back on the line and all seems ok again now.

I may try using my SBG in Bridge Mode and connect it to the VMG just as a Router (if possible?) so I can use the 5Ghz wifi to see what happens, I'll keep you posted.

Just noticed I've also lost D3 from the Downstream SNRM Graph in DSLStats, anyone advise what that means?

Well I've setup my SBG3300-N in Bridge Mode and now using the VMG8924-B10A as a router. Seems to be working with the best of both units now but no DSLStats, is there anyway to configure this setup so I can use DSLStats?
