found some public Openreach / BTWholesale documents

(1/1)

G.DMT:
Backstory:
So I been dealing with a developing fault on an ADSL1 Plusnet ( 20CN / Market1 exchange hence OpenReach ) for the last few weeks and finally got PN to the point of recognising the increasing local loop errors that I been monitoring from Broadcom chipset CPE for weeks.

Since I already spent the effort to understand this stuff, I thought I would contribute a 'breadcrumb trail' that may be of some aid to other forum searchers in future.

Searching the forums for 'BRAT' only found 4 references, each of which is more of a 'mentioning in passing' than an explanation.

So naturally I searched a bit further to see what I could find.

Searching 'SFI required' found these two snippets which will be old news to those of you for whom $DAYJOB is CP / xDSL related, but news to me, since I only am compelled to deal with BT/OR whenever I have issues to resolve.  ;)

That's a URL to a .pdf I don't have to post, 'cause they already did.  :)

kitz:
Thank you for sharing.   I'm not even going to attempt to read those tonight, but shall bookmark for later :)

burakkucat:
Thank you.  :)

I, too, have added certain documents to my electronic library. I eventually created separate sections under a "BT Group" heading --

* BT_Cables
* CPEs
* ISDN2e
* Kilostream
* Openreach
* SINs
* WholesaleI just need to remember to read those new additions.  ::)
