Telnet Commands For A Motorola Access Point AP6522

On this bit of kit there is No 'push button' reset :o to set back to default settings.
One method you have to use  'telnet' .

Wanting to try different channels for the two radios (as you can not change them via the GUI !) and I do not want to re-set it and then put back all the settings in each time.

Does anyone know what the telnet commands I can try to change them.  :hmm:

Do you have any better links to the device's documentation, please?

The two you've posted, above, do not seem relevant, to me.  :-\

According to the User Manual

Quote
For a non WiNG Express SKU (AP6522), there’s no OTA
support, and the Access Point utilizes just the UI for its basic setup.

fwiw, WiNG CLI commands are here

I've found a YouTube video that possibly explains the process . . .

From your CLI --
 • telnet <IPv4 Address Of AP6522>
 • login as admin
 • enter your password
 • enter the command delete startup-config
 • enter the command reload

I now have a collection of documents relating to the AP6522. (Thanks are due to Kitz for the link to the CLI Reference Guide.) --
 • AP6522E_Installation_Guide.pdf
 • AP6522_Installation_Guide.pdf
 • AP6522_Spec_Sheet.pdf
 • WiNG_5.5_CLI_Reference_Guide.pdf
It is very "heavy" reading . . .  :o

Very Very heavy, I can not believe the number of things you can config.

Still not got it working yet as I want.

These unit are more commercial use than domestic. :'(

Can someone take a look in the manual please (see link kitz's  above for photo) and tell me what you think the ' * external antenna connectors' type are they are about 7mm dia . SMA ?

What's the best place to get coax patch cables / adapters from ?.
I need to go from 'MC' to 'RG' type and the above * to 'RG'  and maybe 'N' type to 'RG'

I've taken a look at all the relevant documents in my possession and am unable to decide which connectors are used.

However the Installation Guide has a useful sentence --

Quote from: AP6552E Installation Guide
For up-to-date information on supported antennas and antenna specifications, please refer to the Motorola
Solutions Enterprise Wireless LAN Antenna Specification Guide
available on the Motorola Solutions Web site.

I've now added a copy of the Enterprise Wireless LAN Antenna Specification Guide, Version 2.11, Revision A, April 2016 to my collection of Motorola documents. I think it may well answer your query . . .  :)

Would you please send me a PM, to remind me of your e-mail address and the above Specification Guide will then be on its way to you.

On the First page of 'Manual' there is a photo and you can see 2 of 4 gold 7mm dia aerial sockets.

Pm on the way.  :)

I think the attached image shows the connectors on the AP6522/AP6522E case --

Thank you .

Up-date .
I have it working in a test environment connected to a test computer only.

WiFi is working  on 2.4 and 5Ghz but weak ! something is restricting the output power to 5dBm, it is set at 30dBm  :'(  Not sure what it is.

Edit useful link added    http://www.allendale-stores.co.uk/wifi/info/connector_lookup_tables.html
