I have BT Home Hub 5a with OpenWRT Trunk installed for sale at £75 incl p&p.

This router has a very decent spec, see

https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/bt/homehub_v5a
https://wikidevi.com/wiki/BT_Home_Hub_5

Note: These routers are used and come with power supply only.
If you have a BT home Hub 5a and want OpenWRT flashed on it, PM me.

Presumably it is shipped with VDSL2 firmware version 5.7.4.3.0.6, which supports G.INP in both directions, but not vectoring?

Fantastic news !

Full credit to Darklight who ported OpenWRT to the BBHH5a. You can find the work here: http://openwrt.ebilan.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=7

You can do it yourself. However, it is a non trivial exercise. I did not know solder pads could be so tiny.

Lantiq changed the terms of their licence late last year to allow firmware to be redistributed, see https://dev.openwrt.org/changeset/47783.

There are many firmwares available with, and without, vectoring. See https://xdarklight.github.io/lantiq-xdsl-firmware-info/

You can flash OpenWRT yourself on the BT HomeHub 5a. The process is covered in detail here:

I would like to buy one, please, and I have my own BTHH5a. I took a look at trying to flash OpenWRT but it's way too difficult for me. What do you charge for doing the flash, please?

TIA

Afraid my BTHH5a is sold. If I get another, I will advise.

I can flash OpenWRT Trunk on your device for £40 plus p&p. You'd have to mail me your BTHH5a minus cables n PSU.

PM me for details.
