My friend and I both have internet that is down yet is still connected to the cabinet OK.
He is on ADSL and I am on FTTC.

We are both in Scotland so maybe an outage across the entire UK.

I'm guessing that this only affects some of BT's systems including BTW not just BTr.

I'm an Andrews and Arnold customer and I use the Openreach and BT Wholesale Networks to get me to my ISP, but everything is absolutely fine thus far.

Hi weaver

Many thanks, much appreciated

I can confirm though, our connection had not dropped when the issue appeared, and the same for our client connections, unless this means the ISP connections.

I can also confirm that 2 clients of ours, in adjacent offices, on adsl2+ connected directly to the cleckheaton exchange itself (exchange is directly opposite them across the road) and 1 is offline whilst the othe is connected.

I can also confirm talk talk not affected on 1gb link (we have clients on los)

Hopefully it'll be fixed very quickly but it would be good to know an estimate time to fix

Many thanks

Hi All,

I am unable to get a connection at home and so far I've seen that Eclipse and BT Retail are having authentication issues at the least. Had to come out to get a good phone signal to find out what's going on. Will post more information if I can find it and post it.

Also if anyone has issues or can also check that would be useful. Mobile broadband at home is like dial up!

Ah, a MSO - the problems are affecting various BT websites and preventing end users of ISP's who use BT Wholesale from reconnecting to the network

If you have a connection and don't disconnect you should be fine (or if you have an LLU line)

So, is this mainly to do with DLM actions do you think?

No, don't think it has anything to do with DLM.

Not sure what has affected the BT websites (bt.com, openreach and BTW) but suspect the problem with the DSL lines not connecting is a PPP or authentication issue.

None of my devices could access the internet despite having an apparent PPPoE connection, I disconnected and can't reconnect (Authentication Fail). Using my iPhone to post. What a to-do!

I'm in East Central Scotland btw.

It's affecting a few around where I live too. The Hub5 shows a blue light (as if PPP is established) but they can't get on the Net. Ringing BT Retail they say there have put an automated message on saying there's a MSO.

According to ISP Review, Openreach are informing ISPs that the target time for a fix is 7pm
