At long last we get a mobile phone signal in our house with out going outside and up the hill.
All we had to do was contact EE on 150 on your phone (that's if you get a signal
) or on the free phone number 0800 0790 134 and tell them you do not get a signal at home / office etc. they ask a few questions and do some checks and if like us they send you a free signal box a 'Cisco USC 3331' http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/universal-small-cell-3000-series/datasheet-c78-730972.html
It's about the size of a small WiFi router and mains powered via a 5v adapter and it plugs into your House LAN or router, it sets it's self up with a VPN back to EE servers,(I did not have to open any ports on my hardware firewall )
