I'm pleased to know that the fault has finally been fixed. It was clearly a case of mis-jumpering . . .
(Of course, I would have liked to know the exact details.)

There is no accountability at Openreach in my experience. Multiple engineers who "fix" lines around here actually make things worse and off they go!
