I'm with EE, and we have double speed 4G here, and when in town I can manage around 75mbps download if its quiet!

I don't personally like 3, their coverage is very poor here and we live very close to town

God in heaven! Imagine if they upgrade my two local EE basestations from 3G to 4G. Then I could get ~75Mbps, instead of 1.75Mbps over copper. Presumably the data costs would bankrupt me?

You mean your 3 AA lines are not bankrupting you  ;)

I guess it all depends on how much data you will use, what would of done you nicely is one of the truly unlimited packages with tethering, but I don't think they exist any more to take out as a new contract. Also my experience of 4G on Three so far has been a bit lacking, I've had better speeds on 3G.

Not at the speeds he can run at :)

If you have EE basestations nearby Weaver then keep an eye out for the 100GB promos. They run them every few months & you can (could last time) use them in dongles/routers. TBB generally posts the deals but MSE gets there first.

That way you could see how it worked for a variety of protocols/apps without much in the way of up-front costs.

The _lines_ x 3 cost about £90 per month in total, including £30 for BTW Premium prioritisation, and then there's the cost of data inbound on top of that, which varies a bit.

I have two EE basestations in reach, good signal because I am so high up, while neighbours down nearer the shore ha almost nothing, SMS only if they're really really lucky, and have to drive up the hill for the most part to get incoming messages.
