iPad tip - the iCab web browser
« on: August 05, 2015, 04:40:46 AM »

For those who have tried to do things such as downloading certain files, handling zip files and uploading files, Safari is just completely brain-damaged and won't do what you need.

The cure is iCab. It downloads files to its own store, it can upload any file and it understands zip files and can extract the contents. Like a normal sane system then, not like the madness and frustration that is iOS.

I finally found out how to reflash a router, when all you have is an iPad: I needed to download a file from the mfrs website, then upload the file using http to the router. iCab!
