Zyxel SBG3300N
« on: July 29, 2015, 11:30:00 PM »

Bit off topic this but if anyone has figured out how to get the SAMBA service working properly on an SBG3300N, I'd be so grateful to hear from you.

Zyxel support desk are struggling so far, too  ... after a firmware update and 4 calls, they're looking into it ...

I can reach the USB port via FTP but a SAMBA link which is attachable to Windows/OSX eludes me.

I must be doing something silly (no change there, then),

I know this is a broadband hardware forum not a modem/router user forum but I thought there might be someone lurking who can help.

Cheers.

UPDATE:

I've been through the various layers of Zyxel support twice and finally they've realised there is a problem with this feature.

Firmware update has been scheduled for November 2015.

After that you *should* be able to map a hard drive connected to the router's USB port as a full network drive (e.g Z:),not just FTP from/to it.
