A Nostalgic Item, Perhaps
« on: July 18, 2015, 07:24:51 PM »

There is a Loudspeaking Intercommunication Set No. 5A/2 available on eBay.

I wonder if anyone has memories of using such equipment?  :)

Can't really remember, but I do remember converting the old CEL 4000 12MHz systems to the early Phillips EDL140 140 Mb/s PDH line systems in the early eighties.

That reads as if it could have been fun.  :)  However the 5A/2, above, dates from at least ten years earlier . . . the early 1970s.

It was, it got me a few trips to Holland for courses.  ;) I didn't have much to do with the analogue 12Mhz systems except moving a whole repeater station from the ground floor of a building to the 4th floor including 3 line systems and all their associated Group/Supergroup/Hypergroup channel equipment. Now that was fun!!!
