The line appears to experience some noise and has INP & Interleaving applied.  The line has only been up for a short while and although there are some FECs, we dont know if there is a pattern to this.  (ie spike or constant)  It may be an idea to do some graphing either via DSLstats or HG612modem_stats to monitor your SNRMargin and see what it does over the course of a day or so.

Thank you for your reply. You're spot on! Long story short... we had a fault on our line which took several visits by an OR engineer to finally put right. After the engineer left this morning - I swapped out the original modem for my unlocked HG612 3B and grabbed the line stats and posted them here.

I've just got home and did another line stat run as below (I think it looks better than this morning?):

One significant change is that G.INP is now active, so you should see significantly reduced CRC errors & Errored Seconds.

The other is that the connection is now in sync at 79999/20000, suggesting that you are connected to a Huawei cabinet.

It's a shame that you were unable to grab all the relevant stats for graphing prior to the engineer's visit for comparison purposes.

However, I'd be happy to plot a set of current snapshot graphs for you if you posted the data as mentioned in the posts in the thread associated with the link shown above.

That's a very kind offer! I've quickly skimmed through the thread you linked I have a Windows VM machine so will try it out when I get time

My cab is indeed a Huawei! I do wish I had a baseline for comparison before the engineer arrived - but hey ho 

My connection seems quite solid at the mo - so pretty pleased. However, I did have to do a factory reset on the HG612 last night as it stopped responding on LAN 2 (I disconnected the RJ11 first!)
