Unless Im missing something I cant see what difference the OS will make, as its the web browser which is doing the communication with the modem?

I do know that Safari has a habit of caching which is why I suggested another browser (I type on IoS which is still showing the site xmas logo and never updates).  You must also ensure that javascript is enabled.

The fact that McGrath can get line stats shows that the IP addresses would appear to be correct,

- Checked that only connection is PC to LAN2
- Checked no other equipment is connected
- Checked that the modem telephone cable isnt connected.
- Checked that IP is on same subnet.

hence my conclusion that its something browser/cache related or the actual reset proceedure which is most likely to be where things are going wrong.

There's a post here which shows how to check the reset button is working.

Quote
It's easy to test the RESET function as follows;

Press and hold the RESET button. After approx 5 seconds, the 'POWER' LED should flash once.
Release the RESET button. After approx 5 seconds, the modem should reboot.
Test complete!

Now proceed to the flashing instructions, but remember the following DOs & DON'Ts;

DON'T (NEVER) repeatedly RESET your modem whilst connected to the telephone line - You'll incur the wrath of the DLM.
DO disconnect the modem from the telephone line before attempting to flash.
DON'T use the same browser session you used in a previous unsuccessful flashing attempt.
DO (ALWAYS) open a new browser session when attempting to flash for each attempt.

Got another HG612 3B this time I could get to the FW page I found out It was my firewall on my Mac that was the problem. So I followed the instructions again with the new OR modem did It's thing. Now I've connected up the modem to my HH5 but I can't get into the UI so could someone please help again as to why this might be. One thing my ping has gone down to 12ms from 34ms so that looks good but still around 67Mbps and 16Mbps from before all this G.INP 75Mbps and 17.5Mbps on my line. Thanks again Michael

Sync of 7400/1900 looks like you've been banded so may have to wait a bit longer before you recover full speeds.

Some lines will recover straight away, but those that have been banded have to also wait until the DLM relents.   Hopefully if your line now keeps stable then it will gradually return back to normal.   Fingers crossed you get a DLM resync either tomorrow morning or the day after  :fingers:

My line stats have gone down again after just looking from 74 to 67 so I'll have to wait for DLM to gradually put my speed back up?. One thing that's not showing correct is the DSL up time is 0????

I believe 14 days has been mentioned, for the first time that the DLM has intervened on a VDSL2 circuit.  :-\

It's been 15 days plus now it's gone up to 74,000 and 19,000 ping is still low around 12-17 ms so looking good.

@burakkucat can I ask if you know before all this with Openreach and G.INP with the HH5 type A on Infinity. I was on 79,999 and 19,999 would I ever see this again as I'm only on 74,000/19,000 at the moment and getting around 62.5Mbps.

Hmm . . . Something does not seem quite right. You currently have synchronisation speeds of 74 Mbps / 19 Mbps but are only seeing throughput speeds of 62.0 Mbps / 9.4 Mbps.

The difference between the DS synchronisation and throughput speed and the difference between the US synchronisation and throughput speed are both in excess of what I would expect to see. Was the throughput measured via a WiFi connection?

The drop of synchronisation from the earlier 80 Mbps to 74 Mbps could be due to cross-talk that has arisen as new VDSL2 circuits have been commissioned.

You mention the BT HH5A. If that is just being used as a router behind (say) a HG612 modem then there should be no problem. Using the HH5A as a modem/router may be the source of poor performance. (Lantiq chip-set effect.)
