Wander across the road to the cabinet where he's doing a test and wiring me up - I'm on port 1 (the only one)!
Time to sneak out and weld the cabinet doors to keep it that way.  :fingers:

Also time to unlock that HG612, go on, you know you want to. ;)

Yes I do want to, but I'm not going to risk messing up which is why I'm waiting for the one I've bought on eBay!

At the moment I'm trying to get IPv6 working on a TG582.

Dammit - I was too slow - Kellys have been parked outside our house three more times to do other installs!

I know the feeling! I too was the first connection to the cabinet and enjoying the relative exclusivity. However today to my horror I have received a mail shot from Digital Scotland presumably sent to everyone in the area advising we can now get high speed fibre broadband! I feel the insidious creep of crosstalk is not far off!  >:(  :(

At least you noobies to VDSL won't have long to wait until vectoring technologies are applied, to deal somewhat with the X-Talk. At least on the Huwaei Cabs.  :)

Does the affect of cross talk vary with distance from the cab?

Yes, massively. Thats what the trials have been all about …… trying to paint a picture of all scenario's. Short, medium, long lines. Small medium, heavy VDSL take-up on the Cabs. Heavy RFI, low RFI. Low 'disturbers', medium 'disturbers' …… hell, you get the picture.  ;) ;D
