Hi,

I've just got a HG612 3B and unlocked using Howlongwolfs firmware, and have it via LAN1 into an Asus RT68.

My question is, should I still be able to access the GUI of the Huawei modem now that the computer is hooked up to the Asus router?

I changed the IP address of the Huawei so it was on the same subnet as the Asus, and I was able to access the GUI after this new IP when the modem was still hooked up to the PC directly (albeit via LAN2).

As well as connecting Lan1 to the WAN interface of the Asus you need to connect Lan2 to your network either via a spare Lan connection on the Asus or if you have a separate switch to that. You can then access the HG612 for stats. That's how I have mine set up.

ui is on lan2 only, you need a second ethernet cable from the lan2 port into one of the asus lan ports.

You can only access stats and such via LAN2.   To be able to access them now with the Asus in place you will need 2x ethernet leads

You can only access stats and such via LAN2.   

As I have said before not true on ADSL I use Lan1 only   .
