Can anyone recommend a wireless AC router?
« on: December 11, 2014, 02:27:17 PM »

Hi guys,

I have a phew wireless ac capable devices in the house now and would like to invest in a router. Can anyone make any recommendations?

I usually like TP-Link stuff because it's well priced and always worked for me. However I'd like to know is it possible to run wireless ac, at the same time as running wireless N networks on both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands?

Thanks

on the asus ac66 and I assume also ac68 and ac87 yes N works alongside AC on the 5ghz band.

AC wont work at all on 2.4ghz as its 5ghz only.

Thanks for the info.

Might take a look at the models you mentioned but I have a feeling they might cost a bit!

I will guess that the majority if not all AC routers can use both N and AC together, I just only know for sure on the asus as that is all I tested, the BT homehub5 also works with both, but thats all I can confirm.
