Took a loot at my website stats today and was quite surprised by the breakdown of the various browsers in use when folks visit my site:-

Google Chrome                  27,403 22 %
Mozilla                                18,208 14.6 %
MS Internet Explorer             15,861 12.7 %
Unknown                             13,084 10.5 %
Firefox                                 11,731 9.4 %
Android browser (PDA/Phone)    4,219 3.3 %

Had not realised IE had lost so much ground, everything else is 0.1%. These figures are for November 2014 MTD.

IE started to lose ground years ago when MS has to stop packaging a web-browser with their OS.

Here are my Nov MTD.  Ive included the forum and main site as they are separate beasts.  The main site is far busier and generally attracts a different type of reader than to those that frequent the forums.

All bot and search type indexers are excluded from stats.  Stuff like Blackberry, Playstation etc all get a several thousand hits, but they are insignificant when it comes to the others which is why they show as 0%

I'm not surprised at IE loosing ground. My personel opinion of using it with defaults is the scroll bars in lots of situations are invisable.

Or do I just need new glasses
