OR ECI and firewall

Does the ECI Rev. B carry it's own firewall and if so, should I disable the router's firewall?

my understanding is no, it's bridged which means it does bugger all except converting the frames between vdsl and ethernet. Anything else the modem may be capable of is disabled.
