the min snrm depends on the line,.

When I was on adsl if I tried to even touch 3db it would explode with errors and be unusable.

But on a good line I know people can have really low margins and be fine.

ADSL Mode: Untick both items
Modulator:Untick everything except ADSL2

Capability and PhyR can be left unticked as they are, because these features aren't supported by TalkTalk anyway.

Last one is todays...I'm straight wired to the router from my PC but everyone (2 others are via wired homeplugs) they are complaining of slower and erratic speeds since the DLM was disabled.

It might be to your advantage to allow the circuit to resynchronise at around 1100 hours (11:00 AM) one morning.

Unless there is a GUI option which allows the link to be retrained (resynchronised), the simplest method is to power-cycle the modem/router.

Dont know if the Billion has a gui for that.  When you say power  cycle.. Do you turn the router off and then on at around  11.00am?

That's what he means, but you can reboot the 7800N from its GUI. Have a look at Configuration (Advanced mode) --> System --> Restart.
