I havent got this router...  but its standard practice on quite a lot of ethernet ports to show different colours depending upon the speed of the device plugged into it.
Green is usually GbE
Orange/Yellow is usually 10/100

Not much point attempting to tweak the SNRm if you are on FTTC.   The BToR DLM works slightly different to the BTw one on adsl2+

Oh...   what changes did you make?   Ive never actually tried as I know plenty before have and its not worked as you supposedly cant over-ride the default 6dB   What were your before and after figures?  Do you still have them

I entered a figure of 50 in the hidden settings ...I think that should lower the SNR to 6db its now , didnt make a note of the previous but this what it was on the Netgear

DSP Firmware Version    A2pB025f.d22k
DMT Status   No Defect
Operational Mode   G.DMT
Upstream   640
Downstream   3552
SNR Margin(Upstream)   9.0
SNR Margin(Downstream)   6.3
Line Attenuation(Upstream)   31.5
Line Attenuation(Downstream)   57.0

ooh.. just realised from your stats that youre not on fttc, so any tweaking should still work.

afaik the tweaks for the Billion and Netgear should be similar

The speed in theory should stay the same.   It depends what the DLM does.  Ive just noticed that you appear to be with Talktalk where its possible to ask them to turn off the DLM if you ask nicely in their support forums :)

Hi Kitz
I have gone over to the talk Talk forum...seems that where you get things done and asked them nicely to turn off the DLM.
BTW dropped the connection earlier :(

???  If you have an LLU'd TalkTalk service then BTWholesale are not involved in any shape or form!
