I just flashed firmware DGND3700_2014-05-29_A_D.chk onto DGND3700-100UKS - Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Combo ADSL2/2+ Modem & Cable Broadband Router 4 Port Gbit Switch 2xUSB 2.0 Ports and the DSL mode have VDSL2 on it.

Before on BT Openreach Modem:

Interesting - thanks.   So basically flashing the firmware has turned an adsl router into a vdsl router.  Where did the firmware come from do you know?

Btw.. the v1 and v2 contain a different chipset which is likely why the firmware will only work on that particular version.

DGND3700 v1 has a BCM6368 which is the same as the Huawei HG612.  Wonder if this firmware has an updated adsl_phy..  and if so wonder if those that like messing with that sort of thing can perhaps extract it for use with the HG612?

I brought the DGND3700 v1 from here: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/netgear-wireless-dual-band-combo-adsl2-2plus-modem-and-cable-broadband-router-4-port-gbit-switch-2xu as they do have about five left in stock because the one I won from ebay is not v1.

The one from scan is come with 128MB ram version 1 modem.

I just wondering how to get xdslcmd info --stats on this DGND3700v1?

  The changelog for the firmware you used says "ADSL/VDSL firmware replaced with A2pv6C035m.d23k" I think that is the same as in asbo's updated firmware.   The improved stats seem at variance with experience of that dsl driver.  I think it is always worth being a little cautious over reported attainable values, especially on very short high snrm lines.
