Thanks Eric, that means either the server was in trouble or there was a network issue which stopped the upload.

Looking at the logs, there are no signs of problems with uploads to the server anywhere near or over the period in question. No one else shows missing uploads at this time. There are no errors recorded against your name for uploads which there would be if the files were refused for any reason and this would have returned an error code to DSLstats. I was unaware of a problem when the upload fails at the client end as the return error system (assuming an error is returned for whatever reason) was tested extensively during development.

If you cannot find anything to explain it at your end (I assume you checked the local event log?) then it will have to remain a mystery.

There was definitely nothing at my end to explain this so no errors in DSLStats and nothing failing on my PC either, the only thing I can assume is that there was a network issue of some sort which prevented me uploading. I'm hoping that Eric can improve the upload checking to make sure it reports any failures and that at least will help as it may identify problems in the future.

This may have been covered before but I see the thread is 107 pages. Could someone explain the function and purpose of the LED panel (DLM simulator) on the left hand side of the graphs.

cheers

Yes somewhat, Im on Xilo (Uno) and have an amber and two red on the Downstream. I just re-synced at 1pm replacing a cable and have tweaked my margin to 2.7db, what does amber and two red mean?

Yes, DSLstats doesn't automatically change its time when the clocks change, so you need to restart it.

Is that why I got upload failed messages last night although the upload OK happened at 07:18 and that was before I restarted DSLStats, or is this the same thing which happened to me a while ago? DSLStats shows no errors for the time period between 0300 and 0720 which was when the OK message arrived.

I don't think these events would be caused by either of the upload programs. As you two live in the same area, perhaps there was a local networking problem?

My works line is in Sandwich  and neither of my TBB ping monitors are showing any downtime.

Looking at the MDWS graphs, nobody seems to have any gaps in the graphs during the period when you were getting the failed upload messages, and in the case of HG612_Stats the time stamps would presumably have been correct because of the way it works (launching a new instance every minute). Maybe Tony has got some gems of wisdom.

This is strange now knowing Ronski has similar issue. I think we have different ISPs and since Sandwich is a different exchange for it to be a network issue it would be expected that it was a larger issue and seen by more folks. If it were down to timestamps it should not have corrected itself until I restarted DSLStats but for me it did as I did not restart DSLStats until after I saw all the MDWS messages until about 0745ish.

I'm on Plusnet both at home and at work, where Stuart is on TalkTalk, also my TBB ping monitors show no down time.

I had failed upload alerts for both lines at 3:04, 4:05, 5:06 and then upload OK emails at 07:16. Note that there wasn't one at six o'clock and the minutes of each one increased by one, both alerts are set to notify after 10 minutes, and then every 60 minutes.

My first one was at 3:03 then at 3:34, 4:04, 4:35, 5:05, 5:36 and OK at 7:15 (my timing is set to 30 mins for initial notify and repeat every 30 mins). So again nothing during the 06 hour. This is very strange for two people on different ISPs and two exchanges.
