It's one of the possible reasons why some of us on occasions could see FECs on a non interleaved line.

As per the attached graphs from my connection (currently non-interleaved).

You can see when Interleaving was switched off (26th August).

FEC errors almost disappear, but I do still see some.

Using the original Asbokid unlocked firmware, I never saw any DS FEC errors on the odd occasions that my connection operated on fastpath.

I also see them in the upstream on the ZyXel

Although SRA would be usefull instead of DLM jumping around with BIG lags before/after changes.

A little birdy told me that next year BT may well be dabbling into the world of SRA.

Ive just this moment seen something else which would indeed confirm that trials is scheduled for next year.   Thank you to the kind purrson that sent me the info ;)

Sorry Late reply, I have been somewhat diverted re-using 'old' routers as wireless extenders on my 'Home-Lan' and fighting a Sky Now TV box to get it to work !!! (I won in the end  ;D)

All good to know.
I was aware of SRA and PhyR, hence the interest in BT actually using it.
Having had a long & noisy line (Read: Slow !) for years I appreciate any Technologies that can 'wring' the maximum performance out of the line.

BTW: Take this thread wherever it wants to go, I don't mind at all  ;D
