Is there an offline version of this site ?
« on: January 29, 2008, 11:30:05 AM »

Is it possible to have an off-line version of this site ..... the point being to have it on a laptop while setting up broadband on a long line and being able to refer to it in the very probably liklihood of not getting a connection initially.

I can save the pages I think I need, but in case I miss a page that I need, an offline version would be good.

or maybe http://www.httrack.com/ is the easiest way to do it ?

Sorry no I dont have an official offline version. :/

Ive not used httrack before but I should imagine something like that would do the trick although Im unsure how it would handle any of the dynamic pages that use php.

OK, thanks, I decided to just print the various pages I used.  :)

I tried out that application mentioned above and it works well but as Kitz thought certain pages do not operate correctly i.e. the availability checker page.

All the HTML pages work fine though. When the files are downloaded it really does make you think how "big" the site is... I just tried it out on the ADSL section only, since it is the section I refer to the most and there are 101 pages!  ???

Then again it is the leading site on the topic and reflects the hard work and dedication that has gone into building it up  ;)
