It may be worth using checking the software version by using the command "equipcmd swversion display"

 e.g. with no update

# equipcmd swversion display
software version: V100R001C01B030SP06
xdsl firmware version: A2pv6C038m.d24j
cpu version: BCM6368
cfe version: 1.0.37-102.6
display version success#

Thanks for that Les.

Is that from a btagent enabled or a no-btagent version?

This is mine (GUI currently disabled & difference highlighted in RED):-

# equipcmd swversion display
software version: V100R001C01B030SP08
xdsl firmware version: A2pv6C038m.d24j
cpu version: BCM6368

It is from a no btagent version.    You obviously is new software but with no update of the adsl_phy.   It will be interesting if Howlingwolf or another with enough expertise unravels what may be new or even more locked down.   I will try my spare HG612 with a btagent version to see what happens but as I am an ECI cab I am not sure that it will update.

Have not re-flashed the HG612 since the HG612 GUI was removed and have the same result as BE1.

# equipcmd swversion display

xdsl firmware version: A2pv6C038m.d24j
cpu version: BCM6368
cfe version: 1.0.37-102.6

I am now running with the bt agent version to see if anything turns up.  Does anyone know if the update also goes though ECI DSLAM's, I am guessing that it may since BT is reported to have installed Hg612's with some ECI DSLAM lines.  The swap has confirmed my past inference that my spare HG612 gives a slightly lower attainable with a fixed speed cap. About 0.6Mb/s less with my spare

As advised I am now running the unlockedgui version with the bt agent and noticed that the ptm.1.301 TR069 agent is not there.   ???  Is this due to something that I have done or is it built into the unlockedgui version.   I have done a resest and even gone back to the original 030 firmare which has it and confirmed that just upgrading to the unlockedgui gets rid of it.  I assume it is not needed for the update.

Did anyone notice whether they had the TR069 or not, before they had the latest update?

fwiw, I have not had any issues accessing the GUI so far since I installed my HG612 more than a year ago.

I'm using asbokid's original SP10 unlocked firmware, and have always deleted the PTM1.301 TR069 VLAN entry which BT use at a backdoor to assign an IP address to the HG612 when used in normal bridge mode.    I have never telnetted into the HG612 to manually stop the BT agent which I know is running. (Does anyone really know what the BT agent does ??).

NPR's suggestion regarding removing 301 VLAN
http://npr.me.uk/hg612.html

Where ppl have reported they can no longer access the GUI, do they know if the 301 VLAN was present?

It is still the same firmware version, but this is the new software version

software version: V100R001C01B030SP08

It was software version: V100R001C01B030SP06 until a few days ago.

If you use HG612 Modem Stats, for logging/graphing, enable the Receive beta updates & you should then have v 3.0.0.1 of the programs.

The HG612's firmware version & software version are now recorded in the Plink logs & are included in the snapshot montage as per the attached example.

And for my modem at work:

software version: V100R001C01B030SP08
xdsl firmware version: A2pv6C038m.d24j
cpu version: BCM6368
cfe version: 1.0.37-102.6

So the one at work has been updated, and the one at home hasn't. The works one has been restarted many times recently  due to power cuts, connection problems and changing the router.

Yeah I have got the v 3.0.0.1 of the programs it came in to-day with viewer and settings editor V3

I still have no HG612 GUI unless i re-flash back to Wolfys bcm96368MVWG_fs_kernel_HG612V100R001C01B030SP06_unlockedgui but after 24 hours I am sure the HG612 GUI will again be gone.

What should I do stay as is with software version: V100R001C01B030SP08
xdsl firmware version: A2pv6C038m.d24j

Still unsure what this new software is supposed to fix as it's different to 2013 update I can't see any change visually in bandplans  :-\
