Junkware Removal Tool (JRT)
I came across this free program (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/junkware-removal-tool/dl/131/) when I was helping a friend get rid of a TP Messaging popup, which seems to originate from conduit, on her Win 7 machine. Malwarebytes got rid of most of it but she stil gets a popup on first switching on from Bull Guard saying that this program/file is asking to be installed. Research pointed me to JRT which purports to remove conduit and all its registry keys and I wondered about suggesting she try it. I've run it on my PC with no adverse effects and it did remove a few keys that were obviously left over from other installs. Does anyone here have any experience with JRT to confirm its benevolence? It does seem it might be a useful tool to have in the armoury.
