« on: September 29, 2013, 10:54:32 PM »

I have FTTC with plusnet with a Fibre Router Technicolor TG582n FTTC
is there a way to see line stats like snrm, errors and speed?

ive tried routerstats and DSLstats (dslstats says it works with fibre, but I cant get it working)

I can telnet in np, but don't know the commands when in

The TG582n is working just as a router here, not a modem/router, so you can't get the connection stats from it. The stats must come from the modem. What modem do you have?

Oh shoot
I thought I could read the lan4 wan port traffic

It's a open reach supplied Huawei EchoLife HG612 3B Fibre optic Modem - FTTC VDSL

I did ask for a ECI one as the street cab is ECI, but he didn't have one in the van  ???

The HG612 is the better option for monitoring. To get the best from it you need to unlock it - details here: http://huaweihg612hacking.wordpress.com/

Then you have a choice of monitoring programs:

DSLstats for real time monitoring http://dslstats.plainroad.co.uk
HG612 Modem Stats for extensive graphical analysis http://www.freewarefiles.com/HG612-Modem-Stats_program_84567.html
