DMT Tool problems.
« on: December 01, 2007, 11:27:29 PM »

I have theDMT tool installed for about a year,
Trying to do some 'tweaks' the 'Default' setting under 'Modemoptions ' (see image)  I can no longer un-tick it.

Is there anyone else having problems or is it just me (not got a-round to reinstalling yet !).

Not had any probs with mine that I can recall.  My ST is "out on loan" atm so I cant hook up and have a look either. :/

However.. one thing Ive just noticed - you have the settings on there as adsl2+ rather than adsl1
(iirc youre with eclipse on maxdsl?)

Have you updated the firmware on the router? On some ST models the latest firmware has disabled the modemoptions capability of DMT (by removing the CLI command which it makes use of).

It is so you can monitor and 'tweak' your snr margin, there is more info on kitz,s web site,I,m sure someone more qualified will give a more in depth explanation.

It's a diagnostic / tweaking tool for some (not all) ADSL routers. If you can read German, see http://dmt.mhilfe.de/ for info. (I'm sure Kitz has a page on it, but I can't see it just at the moment).

Cannot change to adsl 1, just goes back to the same settings.

Not updated since about March 07, but its been working since then.

I have the tool installed on more than one machine, but non of them will change the modem settings.  >:(
