Hello OR Dude :-)

Welcome to the forum.

Just to add that all sub-forums are now strictly non-smoking (after Burakkucat's accident at the Christmas party)

^-^ again, OD:)

I've finally reached this thread (having started reading at the oldest unread one). Thanks for letting us know of your skills. You will clearly augment the knowledge base and will hopefully complement the input of our other "tame" Openreach employee, Black Sheep;D

Ha ha, like the 'Top Gear' reference B*Cat. OR engineers have a wealth of differing knowledge and it's always good to have another slant on a problem. Welcome OR Dude, your initial findings are correct, it is a great, friendly site with a far greater knowledge base on here, than any other similar forum. Take it from me, as I've frequented a few over the years.

You'll sometimes think you've stumbled into a science lab, when Asbo, Bald Eagle, B*Cat, rizla et al, start talking about an isotope they've discovered in the latest Netgear router, that when coupled with a reverse-polarity zener diode will open up a gateway to quantum leap various time zones. I buzz of their knowledge, just dont understand any of it. ;D

Enjoy bud. :)

Hello mate,

What area do you cover?  Im scotland and we have just went live with new model works manager which is the worst idea ever lol spending more time driving and less time on jobs.   I have never filled up the van with diesel so much lol.  Hope your not affected by this.  Oh and are you a jdsu or exfo man?

Cheers.

Ye gods, so WM is still extant.  ::)

I remember its introduction in the West Midlands in the late 90s on mobile transmission. Well, I say mobile, but in fact we all became mobile as no exchanges or repeater stations were manned once WM came in..

What a brilliant idea - being directed by a badly programmed computer, and no one responsible for anything. I took the money and ran while the opportunity was there.

Welcome OR dude.  ^-^
