What an amazing woman she is!

You're not wrong there, Eric.

Having run quite a few half-marathons in the past I am always full of admiration for those who can do the full Monty.

She did very well - looked almost like her old self.

Sadly she has no chance at all in Beijing next year. Humidity and air pollution* will do worse things to her than happened in Athens. Plus of course there's the inevitable "doping" waiting to occur - not for her I would hope (although who really knows these days?)

*There's a very good chance that all of the cycling events (bar sprints) and long distance running events will have to be cancelled or moved (a LONG way from Beijing) due to air pollution. Really.

Phil,
The 'leaf out of her book', did you mean for all the posing footballers to have a baby six months prior to running a full marathon?
