dsldepot - spam mail
« on: November 03, 2007, 02:08:18 PM »

Just wondered has anyone received spam on an email address they used with dsldepot?

Reason I ask is that the email address used is one that was only used for ordering stuff from them and it hasnt ever been disclosed elsewhere.
Nor is it an address that I would have expected the dictionary type spam to target.

Yet it would appear that Ive started to receive the phishing type spam on it (eg Lloyds TSB Account Holder Update).

I was wondering about the 'B' grade products they supply here.

Great value, but something that doesn't work properly at half price is a worse buy than something that does work at full price.

So what does the 'B' grade mean .... are the returns tested. I'm after a speedtouch 585v6 for its ability to hold the connection on a long line.
I seem to read everyone being happy with the products received from dslsource.

Does anyone know what the 'B' in 'B grade' actually means ? Opened or marked doesn't bother me.
Performance is the key to me so is it very unlikely that they would be sub-standard in the performance area ?

I've only ever bought one thing from them, and it's the router I now use (ST576) which is the best router out of many I've tried on this particular averageish line. In this case the router was brand new but discontinued.

Router I bought (also a ST576) was brand new still in sealed package,  but a discontinued model.

Both the items I've bought from them were brand new - the ST576 router and the netgear WG111 - and I must admit that after some initial reservations I have been more than happy with their prompt and friendly service.
