You're as weak as the hearts you break.

Some friends and I were discussing this a few days ago, and I posted it on another message board where it sparked quite an interesting discussion. So...
What would your first reaction be if you won £100,000
and what is the first thing you would buy?

Reaction = relief!
First thing - a carpet for the lounge.
Overall, pay off the mortgage, give the place a basic makeover, sell and move back to Sandgate. Possibly alone 8) but to somewhere cat friendly.
If there's anything left, upgrade the Saab.
Nuff??

reaction : amazement !
1. Pay off my brother's mortgage for him, then my sister-in-law could give up her job as a Staff Nurse, a job she used to love but now finds extremely difficult.
2. The remainder ......... don't know.......... but I'm sure I'd think of something !
PS I have just thought of something ... the complete set (Six seasons - 24 discs) of the Sopranos on DVD ..

Gosh, that would be some hi-fi Floydy. Don't forget to keep a bit back for buying green felt pens to improve your CDs.

A bottle of champagne to sit and drink whilst thinking about what I could spend the rest of the money on.

I'd set myself up as an ISP, just to get away from the dreaded Virgin Media.

Then pay off the mortgage and have the house made over.
Buy a new car.
Retire completely.

Unfortunately it was shared between 5 people, but still came in handy.
The picture is an identical copy of the genuine article, just that I had to touch-it-up a little because it was getting very tatty.
To-date I have known (yes past tense) three lottery winners and with one exception it did not change their lives over-night.
The one exception being was the person who tried to buy friendship, what a mug he is.
