Downtime this evening
« on: January 06, 2012, 07:35:57 PM »

Our apologies for the downtime this evening. There was a problem with the server which hosts the Kitz sites, and it took some time to fix. I haven't got any more details at present.

I thought it was so that the Christmas decorations could be taken down. After all, 6th January is twelfth night . . .

Looking at the top left-hand corner of the screen, I still see some holly and snow.  ???

Kitz -- A melodious purr, for you.  :rose:

Uncle -- Don't get me started.  :rain:  I went shopping for groceries in my local branch of Tesco last Tuesday (3rd January) to come across Easter eggs already on display! Argh!! :whip:  :wall:

@ kitz,

Not sure, but if they told you not to operate 'machinery' for a while... that probably includes PCs too...  :D

Hope the Apple TV is providing you with some fun during recuperation. :)

@ Kitz,

I wish you a speedy recovery to full health.

Earlier this week, Mrs. Eagle actually bought some decorations, Christmas crackers, & Christmas crockery for next year.

I did say I would finish the house refurb for Christmas. I meant next Christmas, but somehow she got it into her head that I had meant this Christmas.

She has already mentioned that she is inviting all & sundry next year. So, I'd better get re-motivated & get it done!

I missed the fun too   ....  but noticed a little sluggishness on the site throughout yesterday.  I checked other sites and they were whizzing along.  I did intend to post something if it continued   today, but it looks like the  'out' has ridden the problem.

Hope you feel better soon Kitz  ...   please do take it easy  :flower:

>>  but noticed a little sluggishness on the site throughout yesterday.

Im not sure what it was, all I know is that they had to reboot the server and did a file system check, which apparently took the time :(
