I notice xdslctl configure [--profile <0x00 - 0xFF>|<"8a |8b |8c |8d |12a |12b |17a |30a">] doesn't include 35b

Help is probably not up to date. There's no xdslctl info --vectoring either.

Absolutely.

The unlocked firmware is uploaded via any browser.
Macs allow you to set the IP of your network adapter, and there are many telnet clients available for macs.

i'm trying to make a repo for the adsl_phy bin as they look to be all compatible... if someone have different version tell me...

https://repository.ilpuntotecnicoeadsl.com/index.php?dir=Ansuel/AGTEF/adsl_driver/

to check the version of the adsl_phy.bin (stored in /etc/adsl ) just lunch

strings adsl_phy.bin, it will show random char and...

I am not able to access your repository to see which versions you currently have, so I'll just mention that I have version A2pv6F039v.

I'm not sure what was meant by "all compatible", one of the letter indicates which chipset it is for.

xdslcmd connection [--up] [--down] [--loopback] [--reverb]
           [--medley] [--noretrain] [--L3] [--diagmode] [--L0]
           [--tones <r1-r2,r3-r4,...>] [--normal] [--freezeReverb] [--freezeMedley]

Does anybody have further information about the "--tones" parameter? Is it possible to use it to notch some frequencies (i.e. don't load them with bits) out of a DGA4132's VDSL spectrum? What do the r1, r2, r3, r4,... stand for? Just tone numbers to use?

The explanation given here doesn't seem to be suitable for the more modern BDCM chipsets anymore.

Thank you very much in advance!

Kind regards,
Steffen

Looking closely at "[--tones <r1-r2,r3-r4,...>]" from the usage display, I believe that r1-r2 and r3-r4 are examples of ranges.

I.e. r1 is the start & r2 is the end of the first example range. Likewise r3 is the start and r4 is the end of the second example range.

What isn't clear is whether those ranges are tones (sub-carriers) to use or are tones (sub-carriers) not to use. Perhaps you could experiment and then report back with your findings?
