Regaining an adequate national infrastructure
« on: November 26, 2011, 03:29:25 PM »

Gentlefolk,

The Public Service is quite fond of asking for end users' opinions of various services

( See Ofcom's latest surveys as well as the antics of County Councils such as Surrey's
http://www.ewhurst-broadband.org.uk/?attachment_id=1543)

yet seem far less interested in ensuring we have a fit-for-purpose infrastructure.
Perhaps this local news link will illustrate the woeful situation which seems all too common nationally.

Kind regards,
Walter

Walter,

Once you have obtained a suitable communications infrastructure for the residents of "Ewhurstshire", I wonder which area of the country will be next on your "for action list"?  ???

I wish I could say that I was shocked to see those images  :o  but, unfortunately, that minimalistic approach to maintenance of the communications infrastructure is not an isolated incident.

For those wishing to ensure that they have some guarantee that their service is delivered via network infrastructure that will maintained as a matter of priority, should a fault develop, the best advice is to move home and become a near-neighbour of Ian Livingston or Liv Garfield;)

That's funny Walter, it came to my mind too as I was reading b*cat's post, but I see you beat me to it.

Gentlefolk,

It seems as if the BBC at last is getting the message; this time via the Countryside Alliance.
