Does DMT Tool Work On D-Link DSL-2780?
« on: October 30, 2011, 12:13:18 PM »

The subject says it all really. I can't find it mentioned on the web site.
Does anyone know if it works?
Thanks and Regards to all

the 2780 is a talktalk specific router, don't know how different it is from the 2640B/2740B. Try DMT v8.07 with it and let us know how you get on. If that doesn't work, I've got a tweaked version for the later 2640B firmwares which may be worth a try :)

Sadly it doesn't appear to work  :(
Tried V8.07 and 9.01. 9.01 wouldn't connect at all.
8.07 looks like it connects OK but I don't get any stats reported.
In the information field (bottom left) I get the following..
adslctl: not found
DSL-2780
System Type: Ralink SoC

Shame, I quite like the router at first looks, but may have to go back to my trusty Netgear 834GT's.

oh well, 834 it is then...

just a thought, if you're thinking of tweaking your line, get TT to turn off their DLM system - they will via the forums if you ask.
