Title: DSLstats: Plots and Y-axis Range
Post by: marjohn56 on March 06, 2018, 11:11:45 AM
@roseway

Is there a way of specifying the graph ranges?

The reason I ask is that my FEC varies from tens to hundreds, currently, it the graph seems to top out at 200.

You should be able to adjust the clipping level, or alternatively change to a logarithmic Y axis (which give a better view when the plotted values vary widely).

By the way, this is not related to the subject, so if you want to discuss it more, could you raise it in the relevant DSLstats release topic? Thanks.

I'm not certain if I understood the question correctly but do you mean clipping?

PS

On a similar note I have a bit of an issue with the max clipping value for CRC's being 1000.   Ideally I'd like to clip it at around 4k as thats usually about the figure of my daily spike.  I like to use clipping as that means I also see if I've had a smaller spike of just a few.    However if I turn off clipping then everything gets lost.

Because its such a minor thing I haven't liked asking before now, but wondered if it was an over-sight.
Err/Secs which always should be less than CRC's has a max figure of 4k.

********* Eric this isn't anything that needs immediate attention, just mentioning it whilst on the topic of clipping.

If you choose to have a logarithmic Y axis there's no clipping, but the graphs autoscale according to the highest value recorded. A logarithmic axis gives a clearer view (in my opinion) when you have a wide range of plotted values.
