We have about 4" in our South-Derbyshire Village , With the air being so dry the snow is very fine and looking out of my office window at home across the fields the wind is blowing the snow sideways. :o
We had -10 C last night !.
What have you got.
Edit.. Please say your area.
-
Nah not to much, only a couple of inches and certainly not warranted to be under a yellow weather warning.
-
Not much in Thanet either, had some which melted, then had some more, most of which melted except what was in the shade, and had some more flurries today.
-
Couple of inches in North East but inland there is talk of drifting and low temperaturs around -1.
-
SW Wales: None to speak of so far. Had a few flakes drifting around this morning, but not even enough to obscure individual tree branches 1.5 miles away.
-5C overnight, but seems a little warmer now. Snow expected this evening.
-
It’s been quite bad here in East Lothian. We were in the red warning zone and it had been snowing pretty much constantly for the last 24 hours. Sunny now with the odd snow shower. Measured about 8 inches deep on the front drive this morning.
-
Certainly not as much as most, Yesterday I reckon scraping all the snow on roofs and road in our road may have yielded one snowball's worth. Today it about covers the grass. We're expecting worse, being near where Emma and the Beast might meet.

Got some big snow drifts and high winds here in, Shaw (near Oldham).
One of the main roads between Shaw to Rochdale was impassable due to snow. We're not far of the M62 that is now temporary closed.
-3 C currently.

East Anglia
Yesterday (Wednesday), -5C, a couple of inches of dry, powdery, snow. Caused the postponement of my weekly grocery shopping trip.
Today (Thursday), -1C, a few flakes of dry, powdery, snow have been falling. Managed to make the weekly grocery shopping trip.
-
Not too bad where I am (M4 area) but our driveway is long with a steep gradient, so it doesn’t take much to become impassable.
Pleased to say I made several shopping trips earlier in the week, so the fridge is stocked with sufficient healthy nutritional food supplies to see us through another 4 or 5 days, and the adjacent cupboard is stocked with corresponding stockpiles of beer and various other forms of alcohol.

Here near Ashford in Kent we had enough snow to be a problem on Monday night, less on Tuesday night, and almost none since then. But today was the coldest I've known for several years, -5C with a wind chill factor making it feel like -13C (according to the BBC).
-
Very, very cold working in it today ..... fingers were numb within minutes ..... luckily I didn't have to climb any poles.
-
There's a snow drift up my back passage. :D
-
Painful :)

East Central Scotland here. Yesterday and today has been a red alert from the Met Office. The 1st red alert for snow ever.
Not a single shop open, not a single bus running. Snow is nearly 2 foot deep, considerably deeper where drifts are gathering.
Not much fun. I'll take some pics shortly.

We have very little snow left here but this morning we have freezing rain and loads of black ice on roads and footpaths now.

-
This freezing rain is certainly weird, everything is just covered in a layer of ice.
-
As predicted it has started to snow now here, could have between 5 and 10 cm by tonight.
The freezing rain has caused chaos in Kent with over 150 accidents on the roads and 20 reported in I think an hour. SE Trains are not running any services right now because of ice on the 3rd rain and frozen points. Glad I dont commute any more ;)

We're in Mere very close to where the BBC National news has been reporting on drivers on the A303 stuck in their cars overnight.

Goes against the norm, as it falls as liquid rain but it is below the point that water freezers (0c) then as soon as it hits anything it forms a layer of ice, Deadly.

Satisfaction! After clearing a further 3 inches today. :yay:

@ vic well done, you need a lie down now.

I gave up on clearing my own drive yesterday, after brushing away the umpteenth dusting and scattering a bit more rock salt. We’ve since had another 2 or 3 inches of snow. Driveway is now barrierred off down at the end, as anybody who tries to get here will wish they hadn’t.
My own driveway is about 200 ft long which is bad enough. The bigger problem is, beyond my own drive, lies another 400 ft of private unadopted lane, shared by me and three neighbours, of which I am the youngest by some margin. And even after that, there’s just a single track lane up to the main road, another 500ft. In total, anything up to 1100 feet of digging, to reach the first road that carries any real traffic. :'(
Such are the benefits of life in a rural village. That and crap broadband speeds, of course. :D

Just before dusk, today, more snow started to fall. It looks to be the same dry, powdery, type as on previous days . . .
The view, as seen from from the window, was just as if someone had sprinkled icing-sugar over the landscape.
-
Most of the snow that we had, has since blown away.

It's blown to us. :)
What location are you. ?.
-
Just been on the local news that they have one of our local roads out of the village has been cleared of snow , my wife will be pleased as she can go to the football match while I do plaster boarding. :-\
-
Plaster boarding, rather you than me, done far too much of that over the years.
Snow has pretty much gone here in Thanet, was about 5 degrees when I drove home from work this afternoon.
ETA: I've attached a picture of one of the cars at work yesterday covered in freezing rain.

Spent about an hour and a half, first thing this morning, clearing my driveway. Satisfying to meet the postie half way through, who seemed impressed by the vast expanse of black tarmac, apparently they’d grounded the entire fleet of vans yesterday. :graduate:
By mid afternoon it became apparent that I really needn’t have bothered... temperature was a lot higher than forecast, entire area had completely thawed including, embarassingly, all the bits I didn’t bother clearing . ::)
Ah well, I daressay the exercise will have done me no harm. :)
-
We've got off fairly lightly here in the SW Midlands, but no sign of a postie since Wednesday.
-
Talking of posties, yesterday it was bitterly cold, and I went out for a walk, dressed up in my warmest clothes with a hat, scarf and gloves. I met the postie on the way, dressed as usual in his shorts. :giggle: He advised me to be very careful on my walk because the road surface was very slippery, then went on his way whistling. :)

I can well imagine that. :D

All gone here and a lovely sunny morning, let's hope this is the start of spring :fingers:
-
Snow starting to go now here but still cold and cloudy. :)
-
Heavy snow here again this morning. :(
-
Temperature here 8.5C and rising, according to a thermometer in a shady spot behind my shed. Tempted to get the deck chairs out, maybe fire up the BBQ?
-
It is +3c now , but we had about another 1" just to top us up last night.
Our post man always got his shorts on, but at about 30 he has some of the worst varicose veins I have seen in someone that age :o Is that what it does ?.
-
:hmm: There are some people who just shouldn't wear shorts, me included.
Clear blue sky here, and temp up to 9° later. :)
-
It's practically tropical here (near Ashford, Kent) and I'm thinking of looking out my own shorts.
-
Slight thaw here ~2c. After my recent smugness at having a clear drive, all of the snow on the roof of the house has now avalanched (is there such a verb?) onto said drive! :o That'll teach me.
-
Yesterday I decided to have a short 6 mile walk, 99% of the walk was free of snow (there was lots on the sides of the roads still ) until I had to go through a 4Ft snow drift next to the stile I had to go over, what fun.
