We know that Huawei-based modems report six vectoring states, but does anyone know exactly what the different states mean? The six states are:
0 = VECT_WAIT_FOR_CONFIG
1 = VECT_FULL
2 = VECT_WAIT_FOR_TRIGGER
3 = VECT_RUNNING
4 = VECT_DISABLED
5 = VECT_UNCONFIGURED
So far we've seen values of 1 and 5 - 1 means fully operational, and 5 means that vectoring is not available on the connection being monitored. What do the others mean?

I have just had vectoring enabled on my line and have noticed that when the router is rebooted it reports in the stats 3 vector running ,when the router has full connected it reports 1 vectoring full .

Thanks, yes, that makes sense. So 3 would be a transient state while the connection is being established.

I noticed state 3 gets displayed at regular intervals. It happens during transmission of the error samples and then switches back to state 1.

I assume 3 is when vectoring state is enabled to stop the service interrupting full vectored lines but it has no active crosstalk filtering on itself.
1 is fully enabled which stops crosstalk from lines in 1 or 3 status.
5 seems to appear when is no vectoring support, 4 is probably when is support but disabled.
This leaves just 2 and 0 which might be what it shows during synchronisation.
