There could be more of these!(https://forum.kitz.co.uk/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sherv.net%2Fcm%2Femoticons%2Fhorror%2Ffreaked-out-smiley-emoticon.gif&hash=d50c8f5b8f1152cd805cfc8e3893266bb67f0cc9)

The 172.16.15.151 is not familiar and tracert times out for all hops. Ideas?
The router log for last couple of days has daemon warn kernel: bcmxtmcfg: ReconfigureSAR port 0 traffictype 0
and daemon notice syslog: pppd:Terminating on signal 20.
What is their significance, please?
looking through the Billion settings I've noticed that IGMP Snooping has enabled ticked and blocking mode has been set. For our set-up,: computer, printer, Freesat box, Ipod, internet radio, is that advisable or necessary?
Could any of the above be contributing to DSLStats difficulties, and others?

172.16.15.151 could it be used for your modem/router to connect to the DSLAM for the ppp session :hmm:
It is a 'Private Address' range.

Hi tickmike
Your correct that 172.n.n.n is private, but it is a special range
No, I do not believe it is the connection to dslam.
It is more likely to a secondary LAN on the router (sorry I do not know renluop router)
Many thanks

I was looking at the 'Subnet Mask' as well.

Hi tickmike
Good catch, sorry. My mobile screen seems to get smaller to my old eyes
Interestingly, now you pointed that out, there are 2 private ranges shown, 172.n.n.n and 10.n.n.n if you look. Sorry could be my eyes though
I think they are secondary networks or used say for dmz purposes, but as I said, I do not know the billion router as we do not use them
I guess a check in the route screen would show more detail i.e. If those ranges are bound (I'm thinking they would not show and therefore not be routed)
Many thanks
John

172.16.15.151 is the other end of the PPP connection. That private address range is used for that on Plusnet WBMC Dedicated (their "new" network).
