. . . that an almost unknown band, Procol Harum (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Procol_Harum), released A Whiter Shade of Pale (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Whiter_Shade_of_Pale).
Since that time, I have searched (without success) for someone who could tell me the difference between a light and a heavy fandango! :angel:

i Think the difference is that in the light fandango you have to skip and do cartwheels across the floor. In other fandangos, you don't.

John Milton coined "the light fantastick" to describe dancing in 1632; the phrase became common coinage before being mangled, via the Spanish courtship waltz the fandango, into Procol Harum's "the light fandango"

I can quote, without any difficulty, verses one & three and all of verse two with the exception of one line. In a few places, mention of a fourth verse has been made . . . and I have a very hazy recollection of part lines thereof.

On the single, released in May 1967, only verses one, three and the chorus were sung.
