Title: Free FTTC Connection. Not.
Post by: tickmike on February 20, 2017, 02:46:34 PM
I was talking to someone in our village at the weekend, he told me about he lost his internet for about a week (ADSL) When BTOR checked in our only PCP they found 'Contractors' had put them on FTTC  :D, the BTOR chap told them.
It was only that they had a ADSL modem it did not work.
If they had a modem that it could work on they could be having free FTTC now.

Does this sort of thing happen much and would it be found out ?.

It happens now and again for varied reasons, however the 'build' of the circuit would mean your colleague wouldn't have been able to acquire a working PPP Session anyway.  :)
