Interesting...

Already fixed it seems, but maybe worth treating this particular iOS update with some priority and urgency?

Nice to see the fix is available even for my trusty (if slow) old iPad 2 on which I'm composing this, coming up for 5 years since I bought it, heavily discounted, as it was already "the previous year's" model.  :)

Flaws in Apple's iOS operating system have been discovered that made it possible to install spyware on a target's device merely by getting them to click on a link.

Someone was asking me last week about why we didnt use anti-virus on mobile devices in the same way as we do with Windows laptops and PCs.
Its all about popularity of a product to make it worthwhile for hackers to attack certain systems.  I foresee things will change as the general publics habits change.
Wasn't there a widespread iOS virus last year which supposedly affected a couple of million users that was introduced by apps?

Apple and iOS are making huge inroads into market popularity, so it follows that at some point, exploits will be made to target these systems.

One that I recall was an endeavour to trick developers into using a poisoned substitute for the official iOS IDE,  that attached malware to developer's Apps?
