Title: Cleaning contacts
Post by: Weaver on August 17, 2016, 06:57:04 AM
Some day I ought to clean my DSL RJ45 or RJ11 or whatever plugs and sockets. What's the best way to clean signal contacts? (They're self-wiping (?) and look gold-plated.)

I have six metal surfaces, the test socket in the NTE5a, the plain RJ11 or whatever faceplate, mand the two ends of the very short modem-to-NTE cable.

hurray for Maplin. Other shops I've tried won't deliver to "offshore", so I've failed several times. We've had a bridge for twenty years now.
